Introducing the Transition Guide for Vonage Client SDK
Published on May 7, 2024

Last year we released the new Vonage Client SDK for Android, iOS and Web, launching initially with In-app Voice then later with In-app Messaging. If you are still using the previous version of the SDK and would like to switch over, we have written a Transition Guide to help with that process.

The guide covers the changes made to client instantiation and session management. For example, the client object is no longer a singleton on Android and iOS. It also covers the changes to making calls and how you can now perform actions such as muting and hanging up in your application.

What's Next?

You can learn more about the Vonage Client SDK on our developer documentation, or try out one of the tutorials. If you have any further questions, you can reach out on X, the Vonage Community Slack, or email devrel@vonage.com.
